THERE is a trio of events to keep crime writers entertained at Bridport Literary Festival on Thursday, November 13.
All three events are being held in the ballroom of the Bull Hotel in Bridport.
At 11am four distinguished writers discuss their inspiration. James Runcie, son of the late Archbishop Robert Runcie, talks about Sidney Chambers, a member of the clergy, and the heroic protagonist of The Grantchester Mysteries, now an ITV series.
At 2.30 pm Felix Francis, son of the late great Dick Francis, talks about inheriting the mantel of thriller writing from his dad and introduces the latest mystery: Damage – another story set against a backcloth of the horseracing world.
At 6.30pm James Heneage, founder of the Chalke Valley History Festival, and local writer, Jason Goodwin, talk more about Byzantium and Jason’s latest crime novel featuring Turkish eunuch detective, Yashim and The Baklava Club.
