Our NHS gets so many complaints at times but we can't praise them highly enough!

On Saturday, my mum was unwell, very breathless and had what she thought was indigestion. We went into Boots chemist and asked for some indigestion tablets. The assistant looked at my 84-year-old mum who was sitting nearby and spoke to the pharmacist who suggested we go to Bridport minor injuries.

When we got there, the two nurses on duty immediately started tests and soon realised something was wrong. They called an ambulance to take us to Dorset County Hospital. The ambulance arrived quickly with two very caring ambulance men and we were soon on our way.

When we arrived at DCH, my mum was seen straight away and it was soon discovered that she had had a heart attack within the last few days. She was admitted to the coronary care ward and had a stent fitted on Monday. She has to go back in six weeks to have another one fitted in a second artery.

The treatment she received was exceptional. I was not forgotten and everything was clearly explained to me too. Don’t knock the NHS - they are amazing!
