WE are writing in response to the letter printed in the Bridport News on December 11 about Bridport’s Christmas lights.
Having been born and bred in Bridport and a daughter of a former shop owner, I would just to say that we willingly put a Christmas tree up every year in order to make the town look festive as that used to be the only decorations displayed in Bridport.
Unlike now, where the town council is buying more lights each year which is making our little town look very pretty.
If every shop owner put a tree up this would make our town look outstanding.
We are not Yeovil, we are a little town with the tradition of displaying trees at Christmas time.
Less moaning and praise those few people who make the effort to make our town look great.
