THE need to provide a shelter for patrons queuing to use the new toilets in South Street car park just goes to show how inadequate the new facilities are.

But, aside from that, what is happening about the old toilet block in the East Street car park? What a wonderful welcome for first-time visitors to our town.

In the meantime, the removal of seven more desperately needed short-stay car parking spaces in order to facilitate the sale must have cost the town centre traders a small fortune in lost revenue.
