Lyme Regis Bowling Club Bowls Report for August 25 to August 30, 2026
The season has now finished for most of our team, the exception being the ladies DWBL side who play their final game at Greenhill this week and, regardless of the result, will finish 8th which hopefully will ensure their Division One status after being promoted last year.
The Edna Paisley ladies played their last match, losing 42-29 to Sherborne, finishing 7th in the league.
The men’s Championship team’s win over West Moors last week means they stay in the top division while the Division One side finished a very creditable 4th.

We entertained St Margaret’s BC from Leicestershire during the week, winning 129-77, but then came unstuck on the artificial surface at Axminster, losing 96-46, a steep learning curve for some of our newer bowlers.
Lyme hosted the team from Seaton on Sunday in a friendly match, winning 1 rink, losing 2 and drawing 1.
One big loss saw the Seaton team come out on top 61 shots to Lyme’s 51.
The County Finals are fast approaching and our trio of Krystyna Hall, Karen Hofen and Pam Weech go in the Benevolent Triples which concludes a brilliant run in the competition beating several top County and National players.
Two days of club finals, featuring 17 competitions over 2 days, starts this coming Saturday.
