The competitive season of county leagues is drawing to a close for Lyme Regis Bowls club.
By the end of the month, they will have all finished, and only friendly matches with neighbouring clubs and touring sides will remain.
At home, the remaining individual matches are being played for a place in club finals week, which this year is oN September 5 and 6
The men’s Championship side had a week off, but with two games left, they are second from bottom, and survival may come down to the final game in a couple of weeks' time.
Meanwhile, the men’s Division One team kept up their good run by beating Portland BO 52-45 and picking up eight points.
The ladies DWBL side continue to struggle after going down 40-33 at Broadstone Wessex.
The Edna Paisley ladies, however, scored an incredible 53-8 win over local rivals Bridport.
The end-of-season friendlies continue apace with Lyme earning a 66-49 win over Feniton and then defeating Den Teignmouth 90-66.
The club hosted the Oxfordshire touring side of Witney Mills in an enjoyable afternoon of competitive bowling, with the visitors running out 102-98 winners.
