EXETER II 198 (7pts) lost to UPLYME & LYME REGIS 200-6 (20pts) by four wickets
UPLYME & Lyme Regis survived an Exeter Seconds fightback to take their second straight victory in Devon League C Division East.
Exeter won the toss and elected to bat on a warm day at the County Ground, but were soon deep in early trouble at 34-5.
Martin Langford (2-27) and Joe Elsworth (3-43) did all the damage to put Uplyme in a commanding position.
However, Navid Kaleem (43) and Dom Coulson (77) got Exeter back into it and late runs from Tom Kitson (25no) helped push the hosts to a better-than-expected 198 all out, Tyler Wellman taking 3-38.

Martin Langford (33) and Mark Batey (31) put Uplyme on a solid platform at 78-0 in their chase until both openers fell quickly.
Small partnerships continued to edge Uplyme closer to the target but Elsworth (22) and overseas signing Anand Abhishek (21) could not go on to bigger scores.
Instead, it was captain Sam Farrow (32) who took the Dorset side to the brink of victory, and when he departed the visitors were 172-5.
Wellman (14) was then run out with 13 required but Andrew Harrison (16no) and Bruce Maltby (8no) carried Uplyme over the winning line with 14 balls and four wickets to spare.
