LYME Regis will be managed at Okehampton Argyle Seconds by Kevin Turner on Saturday (3pm).

Current boss Julien Simier is unavailable for the Devon & Exeter League Premier Division clash while he spends time with his family from France for the first time since the pandemic.

Turner will be tasked with continuing a seven-game winning streak that has propelled the Seasiders into fifth in the table.

Argyle, meanwhile, are languishing in 11th having lost 18 of 23 league games to date.

Speaking to the Bridport & Lyme Regis News, Simier said: “We can play top of the table or bottom of the league, this year it doesn’t really matter.

“We proved it when we played Ottery at home and they convincingly beat us because we didn’t turn up and we thought it was going to be easy.

“We can’t be complacent. It’s going to be a tough one because we’ve got a couple of injuries and people are away.

“Kingsley Wellman is injured with his groin and is struggling. Gary Knight is away, so that’s my two starting centre-backs away – you lose balance there.

“I have Fred Parsons away, that’s a big loss especially with the form he’s been in and how influential he’s been over the last few games.

“So far that’s it but those three missing is kind of the backbone of my team, a good percentage.

“That might balance the game a bit more in (Okehampton’s) favour. Unfortunately I won’t be there but I’m sure the lads will do their best to win the game.

“If we can, we’re looking at that fourth place. It would be great to finish there. It’s a good time as well to have a look at the youth.”
