BRIDPORT Youth Football Club celebrated a highly successful season at their annual presentation night.

The majority of teams from within the club came together for the event, which was held at The Beehive.

The evening had its fair share of emotion as, as well as a whole host of prizes given out, the club said farewell to its longstanding chairman Mark Scadding and secretary Bernie Edwards.

All at the club would like to thank both Mark and Bernie for their huge contributions throughout the years.

The evening finished with the Grand Raffle fundraiser and Bridport Youth would like to sincerely thank all of the businesses and individuals that provided prizes for the draw.

Speaking on behalf of the club, youth coach Martin Phillips said: “It has been a big year for Bridport when you see some of the honours we have got, starting from the younger age groups and going all the way through.

“It has been a highly successful year and probably one of the best years from what people are telling me.

“Within the youth set-up there are players that are at Bournemouth already. They are getting noticed and looked at from an early age.”

Bridport Youth currently offers football from age under-5s through to under-18s.
