LYME Regis recorded their second league win in three to go fourth in Devon & Exeter Division Two after they hit five past bottom side Chulmleigh.

The win, in what was a feisty encounter, ensures Tim Edwards’ men sit just three points behind leaders Henry’s Cronies, who they were promoted to Division Two with last term.

The Seasiders are set to take the trip to Halwill on Saturday (3pm), a team which currently occupy 10th spot in the table with just one point coming from their opening three games. They lost 2-1 against a University Thirds side at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Lyme Regis Reserves occupy fourth place in Devon and Exeter Division Seven after a solid 3-1 victory over Wellington Town Thirds at Davey Fort, having playing most of game with 10 men.They are scheduled to host Bradninch on Saturday (3pm).

In the Perry Street Premier Division, Lyme Bantams suffered their second league loss of the season, going down 7-0 at home to Winsham at Woodroffe School.

The Bantams go to Shepton Beauchamp, who currently sit fourth with two wins out of three, in the Coronation Cup on Saturday (2pm).

Elsewhere in the division, table-toppers Beaminster continued their fantastic form with a 3-0 home triumph over Combe Reserves.

The result means the Rainbows have recorded a maximum 12 points from their opening four outings.

Also in Coronation Cup action, they host Perry Street on Saturday (2pm).
