Bridport manager Chris Herbst says his side were 'caught sleeping' early in the second half in their 3-2 defeat to Sidmouth.
The Bees have now suffered back-to-back defeats in the league and have yet to register a point so far this season.
Solomon Ayunga had levelled the scores in the first half but two quick fire goals after the break proved too much despite a late strike from Isaac House.
Despite creating plenty of chances, the teams lack of clinical finishing in front of goal, along with a sloppy start to the second compounded the team's fate.
Speaking to the News, Herbst said: "It's not the result we wanted, but the performance wasn't too far from what we expect from the players.
"After the first 30 minutes, they were on top, but it was still 1-1 so I was happy, and by the end of the half we were on top,
"But we came out in the second half with a lack of awareness and we were caught sleeping, like at the weekend, so we will have to something about it and we will have to address that."
The side created several chances after going 3-1 down but by the time House scored in the 85th minute, Herbst admitted that time had just run out.
He added: "The rest of the second half we created chances, but when Isaac scored it was too late.
"We can't give away three goals and expect to win.
"We had chances and created enough to win the game but we need to put them away."
Next up for the Bees is a trip away to Torrington FC, in Devon on Saturday (August 10) at 3pm.
