BRIDPORT boss Rob Marquis believes the home clash with Street could be a “six-pointer” for the Bees tonight (7.45pm).

Both Street and Bridport are yet to claim a point from their opening Toolstation Western League Premier Division games.

Bridport lost a 1-0 lead in stoppage-time of their FA Cup meeting with Fleet on Saturday, bowing out of the competition 2-1.

However, Street were thumped 8-0 by Fareham – and Marquis feels the clubs’ poor starts add extra significance to the game.

He said: “They’ve not started brilliantly. I had someone watch them the other night.

“It’s not bad is it? A six-pointer three games in! You don’t often get one in August.

“They shipped eight on Saturday so they’re probably in a similar situation to us. That could galvanise them to steel up – you just don’t know.

"They may be in the same boat as us.”

Malachi Thomas and Finley Jarvis return for Bridport.
