BRIDPORT'S league meeting with Westbury United has been postponed as a precaution over Covid-19 fears.

Westbury, who have not returned a positive test, played Bitton on Wednesday, losing 5-1.

One staff member from Bitton has since displayed symptoms and has taken a test, leading to the precautionary postponement of the Bridport game.

No United players are waiting to be tested for Covid-19.

The Wiltshire club notified the Bees and the fixture was called off with a date for fulfilment yet to be announced.

Westbury are the second of Bridport's opponents this season to call off a game amid the pandemic.

Chipping Sodbury Town postponed their league clash with the Bees two weeks ago after three positive tests.

Bridport next visit Clevedon Town on Saturday, October 24 (3pm).
