BRIDPORT duo Scott Wells-Burr and Will Gape have become the first players to commit to the Bees for the 2020/21 Toolstation Western League Premier Division season.
Goalkeeper Wells-Burr, who was the leading league appearance maker with 30 matches for the Bees last campaign, has been named club captain.
Industrious midfielder Gape was a key member of Bridport's midfield engine and chalked up 23 league games, netting three goals, in the previous term.
Bridport have moved to secure the pair's signatures after manager Jamie Manley and assistant boss Kevin Leigh agreed to stay at St Mary's Field for the coming season.
Manley will be seeking to improve on a difficult first season in charge, when his predecessor Rich Robson lasted just 10 games before resigning.
Bridport eventually finished 19th before the league was voided in Spring without promotion or relegation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
