DORCHESTER’S league-winning captain James Dunham has been re-elected as skipper for the 2020 season following the club’s AGM.
Dunham will be assisted by new vice-captain Nick Roe as the county town side look to defend their Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League title.
Dorchester’s promoted second team will be led by Rob Nobbs and Stu Beasley in Division Two, with Simon Joslin leading the newly-formed third team, based at St Osmund’s school.
The club will also be running their ‘Casuals’ evening league team in Division One and a Colts under-21 team in Division Three, plus a Sunday friendly XI, a girls and ladies team adding to the under-nines, under-10s, under-11s, under-13s and under-15s.
All Stars for five to eight-year-old boys and girls continues on Saturday mornings from May 16 as does Dynamos for eight to 11-year-olds. Registration is open on the All Stars website.
Indoor nets are underway at Thomas Hardye school every Sunday evening through March from 6-8pm under the superb tutelage of ECB Level Three coach Sean Fitzgerald and new players for every team are welcome to join.
The club is also looking for budding scorers and umpires.
