WEYMOUTH drew 0-0 with Billericay in a frustrating afternoon for the Terras, but what were the main talking points?

Callum White gives his take on the stalemate.

CALUM WARDS OFF DANGER

GOALKEEPER Calum Ward's save from Billericay's number 11 Femi Akinwade from what was arguably the best chance of the game proved crucial.

The reaction save kept the scores level and helped gain a point for the Terras as they continue to push for the play-offs.

Ward also showed a safe pair of hands in catching Jack Paxman's late effort following a terrific, incisive run.

FORWARDS FAIL TO FIRE

MOST surprising during this contest was Weymouth's lack of cutting edge in the final third as they mustered only a few goalscoring chances.

Right at the end of the first half there was a goalmouth scramble where four players had bites of the cherry and still they could not convert, which is not like Mark Molesley's men.

Despite drawing a blank, Weymouth took the chance to move up a place in the league, taking advantage of 10-man Havant & Waterlooville's 2-1 home loss to St Albans to jump into fourth.

RARE CLEAN SHEET

WEYMOUTH kept their first clean sheet in four games and only their second in 18 games.

A tight defence is always important towards the business end of the season and this was Weymouth's 10th of the campaign in all competitions.
