DORCHESTER Town have named Jody Rivers as temporary boss following the resignation of former manager Callum Brooks.
Rivers is set to take charge of the Magpies' latest BetVictor Southern Premier South game at Gosport Borough tomorrow (7.45pm).
In a brief statement on dorchestertownfc.co.uk, the Magpies said: "While the club completes the process of appointing a new first-team manager, we can confirm that first-team coach Jody Rivers has been placed in temporary charge of overseeing first-team affairs, starting with tomorrow night's BetVictor Southern League Premier South fixture away at Gosport Borough."
Rivers joined Brooks' coaching staff in June, as understudy to then assistant-manager Trevor Senior.
Having started coaching in 2005, Rivers spent the past seven years as the director of coaching at the Matt Le Tissier Natural Coaching Academy and previously spent four years with AFC Bournemouth working with a range of youth and development squads from under-nines to under-23s teams.
Rivers also visited some of the top academies across the world including FC Barcelona’s famous La Masia, Athletic Bilbao, Sporting Lisbon and Liverpool’s International Academy in Michigan, USA.
