DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James has set his sights on the top four ahead of a Dorset Premier League derby with Portland United Reserves at the Clayson Stadium tomorrow (2pm).
Sports have played just three home league fixtures this season but still retain a position of seventh, five points off the top-four place James desires.
And James is looking to continue Sports’ unbeaten home league record against Chris Wilson’s young Blues.
He told Echosport: “We’re unbeaten at home in the league, so we want to keep that going as long as possible.
“We want to try and tuck into that top four before Christmas and to do that it’s vital that we get the three points and try and get onto a little run.
“It’s frustrating when you play a game, have a week off, play a game, have another week off.
“We didn’t play last week so, again, there’s a bit of rustiness to shake off. Hopefully, if we hit our stride, we’ll be able to put in a performance.”
Jamie Rawlings, Ryan Ross and Jamie West miss out through knee injuries, while Adam Steele is absent with an ankle knock.
However, Paul Hill and Pat Thomas return for the county town side, who could move into sixth with victory.
