WEYMOUTH & Portland coach Rich Bament is preparing for an intense physical battle when the Seahorses travel to Blandford in Wadworth 6X Dorset & Wilts One South tomorrow.
Bament’s men came within a few minutes of toppling unbeaten rivals Dorchester in their previous outing, eventually losing 22-19 at Monmouth Avenue.
Sitting fourth, the Seahorses face fifth-placed Blandford, who were dismissed 32-2 by Dorchester earlier this season.
Speaking to Echosport, Bament said: “From what I’ve seen told, (Blandford) are a big, solid unit.
“They’re a big bunch of forwards and have big centres as well, so it will be the normal stuff for us – move the ball around and get guys to run with it and move it, tire them out.
“Hopefully the scores will come. We’ve got a good forward pack, we’ve got some big boys but they’re all mobile and then hopefully we can get it out to the wings and get the pace out there.”
