BRIDPORT boss Jamie Manley described high-flying Hallen as “no mugs” ahead of their Toolstation Western League Premier Division clash at St Mary’s Field on Saturday (3pm).

Hallen are placed in fourth having won five of their 10 games so far this season, while Bridport’s fortunes have contrasted hugely – the Bees winning just twice and sitting 20th of 21 teams.

Speaking to the Bridport News, Manley believes the encounter will be challenging despite home advantage.

He said: “We’ll be organised and we’ll get the lads up for the game, there’s no doubt about that.

“As long as they take on board what we’re saying to them and do what we want them to do we will pick results up.

“This Saturday is a tough game. Hallen are going to be no mugs, they’ve drafted a few players in over the summer and they’re looking strong.

“Going forward we do create chances and we just need to be a little bit more clinical in front of goal, but at least that gives us a platform to defend on.”
