BRIDPORT Gig Rowing Club have romped home to their third successive Jurassic League title, with a 42-point gap to second place.

The club blew away the opposition in similar style to last year’s 73-point gap.

A breakdown of the categories further highlights the dominance of the West Bay side.

The women’s A team and veterans were undefeated all season, thus topping their table, while the women’s B team also finished top courtesy of four wins and two second places.

It was much the same story with the men’s team, with the As and veterans taking home first place and the men’s B team just missing out on a podium spot with fourth.

The future looks bright for the club’s junior section too, the under-14 crew came second in the under-16 category by just a single point and deservedly won the most improved junior crew award for their endeavours.

The mixed team results were also strong, finishing second in their category.

The success was not just confined to the standard league, the separate supervets league was also dominated by Bridport, as a first and second place for the women and men respectively meant that there was yet another trophy to add to a rapidly overflowing cabinet.
