DORSET are primed for a thrilling T20 finals day, beginning with a tricky semi-final against Lincolnshire at Wormsley, Buckinghamshire, tomorrow (10am).

Luke Webb's men have enjoyed a dominant T20 campaign thus far, winning seven of their eight games in Group Four of the Minor Counties competition.

They are set to face a Lincolnshire side victorious in just six of eight games, with one abandonment and a solitary loss.

The winners of the semi-final will face either home favourites Buckinghamshire or Hertfordshire.

Dorset are set to take a 13-man squad to Wormsley, which includes Hampshire Academy batsman Felix Organ and Somerset leg-spinner Max Waller.

Waller was recently recognised in English domestic T20 circles as having the best catch per match ratio of any outfield player in history.

Meanwhile, Dorset skipper Luke Webb wants his charges to deal with the pressure of Unicorns T20 finals day.

The captain, who led his side to seven victories from eight Group Four T20 games, told the Echo: “The team that wins the competition will be the team that deals with pressure the best on the day.

“The four best T20 teams are at finals day and it’s a very tough competition to qualify for – so everyone deserves to be there.

“It would be absolutely amazing to win a trophy for the county but T20 is very much an on the day game.

“We have just got to hit the ground running and if we get through the semi-final it’s all about taking momentum into the final.

“There won’t be too much time to think about it on the day, which could be a good thing to get straight into it.

“Now it’s finally come around, I know everyone around the squad can’t wait.”

Webb himself goes into the event in fine form, having stuck 161 in the red-ball format for Dorset against Wales last time out.
