THE Bridport 3x3 tournament celebrated its fifth year with an event to remember.

This year, teams came from Europe to take part in the International Basketball Association (FIBA)-endorsed competition at the Beaminster Community Sports Centre.

Team YCC claimed the men’s prize with Christian Alexander taking the tournament MVP and earning 12,680 FIBA ranking points.

Team Run ‘N’ Gun finished a close second.

In the juniors’ category, Weymouth Tropics bagged the crown against Swish Devils.

Organiser Craig Sorrell said: “All of these talented young sportsmen played at very high standards throughout the day, so well done to all of them.

“Every year the tournament also supports a charity to which 50 per cent of the proceeds go to and, this year, the charity Street Games was chosen, who help disadvantaged young people get into sport, giving them the chance to achieve their goals.

“The tournament had some incredible sponsors this year which we would like to say a big thank you to.
