MIKE Thompson, Jon Legg-Bagg and George Brown hit 59 to claim the Charles Miles Trophy as the men of Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club played in the Dawn Patrol

The competition saw three-man teams playing off one sixth of combined handicaps.

Close behind the victorious trio with 59.3 were Pat Hart, Josh Hicks and Doug Miners.

Alistair Gibson, Nathan Dunford and Steve Battrick took third place with 61.5.

The Midweek Stableford was won by Robert Smith with 30 points and in second place was Spike Spiller with 29 points.

Jimmy Gbadebo scored 69 to claim victory as 44 veterans competed for The George Adams Cup – a medal off the white tees.

Gbadebo saw success in Division One with a fine score of 82-13=69 awarding him also a one-shot handicap cut.

Bryan Holmes took second place in that division with 88-15=73, there then followed four players each carding a nett 75 and, after countback, Ray Southcombe was awarded third place with 88-13=75.

In Division Two James Clarke took top honours by scoring 98-25=73.

Next followed Allan Huntington, who after countback, took the runner-up spot with 104-30=74 followed by third-placed Brian Osborne 98-24=74.
