WEST Dorset Swimming Club members continue to aim high for South West Regional qualifying times at the Poole Open Meet.

The swimmers, aged between nine and 16 years achieved an incredible 132 personal bests (PBs) between them.

Two club records were broken at the meet, Ben Keeping broke the 100m freestyle for the nine year age group and Grace Chaffey the 200IM for 12 years.

Swimmers who achieved times compete at regionals this year.

A club spokesman said: “We are a successful, up and coming competitive club.

“We train at the 1610 centre in Dorchester five days a week, with sessions also held at Bridport and Millfield.

“We have swimmers in the club that are achieving British and National levels.

“If you would like to be part of our friendly but competitive club, please find us on Facebook or email the club at membership.swimwestdorset@gmail.com.”
