WEYMOUTH have signed Ollie Harfield as their first new acquisition ahead of the 2019/20 National League South season.

Harfield is a left-back by trade but has experience of playing wide as well having played in centre-midfield at times last season.

The defender, formerly of AFC Bournemouth, played for Dagenham and Redbridge last season and formed part of the team that finished 18th in the Vanarama National League.

Harfield is no stranger to Weymouth boss Mark Molesley, who says he feels the club can get the best out of his new signing.

Molesley told Echosport: "He has gone out and had some real good men's experience in the National League down at Dagenham so I think he arrives with good experience and also a good education coming through at Bournemouth.

"He knows the way we work, he knows the demands, he knows the way we want to play. I know it is someone who I feel we can get the best out of by the way we play."
