DORCHESTER captain James Dunham hopes his side’s form will continue their winning ways at Stalbridge tomorrow in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League (1pm).

The county town team come into the match off the back of a solid five-wicket win over Sherborne at the weekend, capped with Dan Belt’s six sealing victory.

Dunham said: “We are feeling good, it is going to be a good game, hopefully the weather stays as it has done for the last few days, the side is shaping up well. We go into the game after last week’s win.

“Chasing down 228 and only losing the five wickets, there is a lot to take from that, it was a very positive performance and with me not being there I loved hearing the result from the lads.

“Hopefully we will take on a bit of form and get a winning run behind us.”

Dorchester face a Stalbridge side that have three losses from their three matches so far, accruing 10 points in that time to sit bottom of the table. Dorchester meanwhile sit fifth, with 42 points from their three matches so far.

Speaking of Stalbridge, Dunham said: “Stalbridge are a good side, we beat them quite convincingly at our place last year but when we travelled to theirs last year we lost by an agonising one run, you never know what you are going to get when you play away from home in this league.

“We can only concentrate on ourselves, we have got some good players to beat most teams in this league and we will go with that attitude.”

Jack Owens, Simon Mitchem and Martin Richards are unavailable meaning Dunham, Josh Richardson and Josh Foot come in.
