BLANDFORD’S Tegan Jones starred as Great Britain sealed third place in the Austrian Nations Cup in Lamprechtshausen.

Jones, 21, was one of a team of four Young Riders representing Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team NAF to finish in third place behind Germany and Italy, who finished in second place.

The team, which was made up of the following four horses and riders all put in some solid performances between them with a notable final clear coming from Kellie Taylor in the second round in her role as anchor.

Leonie Aitkenhead, aged 21, from Gainsborough, Lincolnshire with Jimmy Mack van Berkenbroeck, and a 10-year-old gelding owned by Beverley Aitkenhead posted two good rounds with just four penalties being picked up in each.

Jones rode on Annaghmore Lui, her own 12 year-old chestnut gelding and accrued 13 penalties in the first round with a marked improvement in the second to finish on eight penalties having touched two fences on course.

Jones rode alongside Northamptonshire’s Joseph Stockdale and Kellie Taylor, as well as Leonie Aitkenhead from Lincolnshire.

British Showjumping would like to thank NAF, title sponsors of the Senior Nations Cup Teams along with the children, junior, young rider and veteran teams.
