BRIDPORT RFC held their annual Junior Awards Night in the clubhouse in front of over 200 people.

The clubhouse was overflowing with many parents present to see the ceremony.

In each age group, from under-sevens to under-15s, all players who represented the club on the field of play were awarded a medal.

Trophies were presented by club captain Tom Gamwell, first-team fly-half Mitch Waters, and coaches to junior players in the following categories; Most Improved Player, Player’s Player, and Coaches’ Player of the Year.

The prestigious ‘Core Values’ trophy went to the player in each age group who had exhibited teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the season.

Flowers were presented by president Peter Brook to Karen Hussey, Helen Browne, Sam Mullaney and Jasmine Hussey to thank them for their hard work and support throughout the year.

The new season starts in September. Registration takes place on each Sunday in September for new and current players from six years old and upwards, with girls playing up to the age of 12 and boys continuing to under-16s and Colts.
