BRIDPORT left-back Andy Martin has ended a long spell at the Bees by joining Toolstation Western League Premier Division rivals Shepton Mallet.
Martin, whose brother Neil captains Dorchester Town two leagues above, played 40 times for Bridport last season, starting 36 times and scoring once.
The former Chard defender is a set-piece specialist, particularly from corners and in the 2017/18 campaign registered three goals.
Last season, former Bridport captain Martin earned five yellow cards and one red.
Martin is the second high-profile departure in the close season after boss Adam Fricker stepped down due to work commitments.
Mallet have moved quickly to secure the services of the coveted left-back as they seek to improve on a position of 11th next season.
