On Tuesday, the veterans had a home match against Weymouth and Bridport, chalking up an impressive 5-1 win.

The Directors Cup took place over the Easter weekend. This is an annual competition and is a Mixed Medal played over four rounds, the winner being the person with the best score from two rounds.

There were 181 entrants over the four days and the results (nett scores) for each day were as follows: Friday 1 Geoff Joy 60; 2 Rob Smith 65; 3 Mannie Wellman 66. Saturday 1 Matt Powne 60; 2 Rob Smith 67; 3 Gary Edwardes 70. Sunday 1 Eddie Cary 66; 2 Taff Golding 66; 3 Josh Hicks 67. Monday 1 Grant Rist 64; 2 Steve Battrick 66; 3 Lewis Craddock 68.

Grant Rist and Matt Powne were joint winners both with a total score over two rounds of 129 (both players received four extra shots due to their handicaps at the start of the competition).

Due to the many low scores and this being a qualifer, now the course is back to normal after the winter a number of players have had their handicaps reduced.
