BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker has called for the Bees to “finish on a high” with victory against Hallen in their season-ending Toolstation Western League Premier Division clash at St Mary’s Field on Saturday (3pm).

Fricker’s men claimed a 2-0 victory against Odd Down in their final game last season and will be looking to emulate that display against 13th-placed Hallen.

Victors of the contest will take 12th place as Bridport have an unassailable four-point gap to 11th-placed Chipping Sodbury with one match left.

Speaking to the Bridport News, Fricker said: “We’re sat in 12th and can’t finish higher.

“Hallen are in good form as well, so we know they’ll be up for it. We just want to finish with a win, we’ve done it the past couple of seasons that me and Jason (Behan, assistant-manager) have been at the club.

“With our last couple of home results, granted Willand was one of them, it would be nice to put on a bit of a show for the last game of the season.”

Matt Condliffe and Declan Cornish return, as does Chris McGrath after a one-game ban. Braeden Symes (knee) could feature, but Kameron Andrews misses out.

Bridport will wait on the availability of Ben Morris, who may appear for Dorchester against Hartley Wintney.

On Morris, Fricker added: “It was great to see him get some minutes (against Tiverton) which was a big plus for him.

“I’m sure he’s chuffed at that. Without talking to Callum Brooks I don’t know the situation with Ben.”
