ALAN and Caroline Cash beat Neil and Jillie Blincow 6-3 in a closely fought final set to emerge triumphant at Bridport Tennis Club’s annual mixed doubles tournament at its courts at Plottingham playing fields.
The final kept the spectators riveted throughout with some fantastic rallies and sparkling tennis.
The event was organized by Diana Dudgeon and eight pairs competed on four courts in dry but windy conditions during an afternoon of competitive tennis.
In the runner-up plate event, Larry Rynsard and Janet Clayton beat the strong opposition of Scott Carson and Sue Arnold 6-4 in the final.
