BRIDPORT boss Adam Fricker has revealed Plymouth Parkway have sent the Bees scouting reports on Willand Rovers ahead of their Toolstation Western League Premier Division clash at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (1pm).
Rovers are in prime position to take the league crown, knowing that wins in each of their remaining games would seal the title ahead of rivals Parkway who currently top the table by two points having played one game more.
And the Plymouth-based side have cheekily offered the Bees information on their opponents in a bid to upset their assault on the championship.
Fricker told the Bridport News: “We need to take stock and have a think about Willand.
“We’ve actually had a couple of reports sent to us from Plymouth Parkway, so I think they’re looking for us to do them a bit of a favour.
“They’ve obviously had them scouted for their own purposes and sent them through to us to have a read of.
“We’ll be doing it for ourselves – the lads want to win every game. We won’t be going out to do anyone any favours.”
Fricker’s troops have lost their past two games, conceding four goals in each with respective 4-2 and 4-0 losses at Wellington and Cadbury Heath.
Bridport’s loss at Heath on Tuesday night saw Mike Huxley bag four goals, although Bridport’s Ed Butcher skied a penalty at 1-0 down.
Braeden Symes is set to miss out with a knee injury, while Chris McGrath could feature with his one-match ban for a red card at Wellington yet to begin.
