WEST BAY angler Tony Colls scooped top place in February’s Thursday night at West Bexington, with an 11lb 14oz undulate ray.
On a chilly evening with a typical Chesil swell, fishing proved to be hard work for most anglers with only a few dogfish and pouting being caught.
Colls, however, decided to show his rival anglers how to do it by catching an undulate ray on a pulley pennel rig baited with mackerel.
Results: 1 Tony Colls 13pts; 2 (longest length): Tied between Steve Harwood & Charles Davies, both caught a 62cm-dogfish; 3 Ken Martin caught dogfish & pouting
