BRENDON King admitted ‘you just don’t know what you are going to get’ with Team Solent as Portland United prepare to travel to the student outfit in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division this evening (7.45pm).

The Blues arrested a two-game losing run with victory at AFC Portchester on Saturday, but King is not sure what to expect from Team Solent.

King said: “You just don’t know what you are going to get with them.

“It all depends, it is half-term which might be a bonus.”

However, King said that the match will be tough, and acknowledged that Team Solent have picked up some results recently, with the Hampshire side unbeaten in three matches.

King said: “It is going to be tough, I know they have picked up some results because they have got some more players there.

“It is one of them you just don’t know what you are going to get out of them.

“We have just got to be prepared, they have got some good players. We have just got to be prepared and worry about ourselves.”

King also praised the Solent pitch, while saying that if his side are on their game they can beat anyone.

King said: “We know that if we are on our game, that we can beat anybody.

“It is a nice pitch up there so hopefully that will suit the way we play.

“It will be interesting.”

Steven Walker is a doubt for the match due to work commitments.
