BRIDPORT expect to earn at least a point from their Toolstation Western League Premier Division tussle at Cadbury Heath on Saturday (3pm), according to assistant Paddy Behan.
The Bees have an unenviable record in recent league games having lost six of their last seven, mostly against top-six sides.
However, Bridport manager Adam Fricker has been encouraged by a series of excellent performances tarnished by individual mistakes.
And Behan reiterated the thoughts of the Bees’ boss by maintaining his confidence in the squad’s ability.
He told Echosport: “We are expecting to go to Cadbury Heath and hope to get something because we know we should be.
“I think if we keep performance levels the way they have been, especially the last month, we’ve got to be confident going up there.
“They’re not going through the best spell themselves and the pitch isn’t great up there, especially this time of year.”
But Bridport are expected to welcome several players back for their encounter with the Heathens.
“We’ve got to go up there and give it a good go,” Behan said. “The plus point is that Braeden Symes might be back, James Regan, Hutch (Jason Hutchings) and Chris McGrath.
“That’s four big players for us which are coming back into the side providing they’re all OK.
“It’s very hard to be critical of the team because they are playing very, very well. It’s just we’re being punished for everything.
“We could possibly be a bit more clinical but when you lose a lot of goals from your side – Ed Butcher, Oscar Latas, Richard Hebditch and Leigh Bailey – it’s hard to replace 40, 50 goals.”
