WEYMOUTH have had their Evo-Stik Southern Premier South match at Hendon postponed due to the snowy conditions.

The Terras had travelled up to the north London club but the pitch failed an inspection approximately 45 minutes prior to the scheduled kick-off.

The news will be frustrating for the Terras, who were hoping to catch up one of their three games in hand over their rivals at a badly out of form Hendon.

Portland United have also seen their Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division contest at Lymington Town postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Manager Brendon King's men are guaranteed to hold on to second spot despite the match falling foul of the weather, with third-placed Horndean five points adrift of the Blues.

Echosport understands the islanders will train tonight ahead of their crunch meeting with the Deans on Saturday at the Weyline Stadium (3pm).

In the build-up to the now postponed match, King had labelled the contest with Lymington as a chance for "vengeance" following the Linnets' 4-2 victory over his side in the FA Vase last August.

Portland will now have to wait to exact revenge on the Hampshire outfit, with no specified date set for fulfilment of the fixture as yet.
