SEATON Tennis Club has launched a Saturday afternoon drop-in session for adult non-members, beginners and rusty players.

It’s aimed at those who are new to the game or who enjoy tennis but haven’t played for a while.

There's no need for a racquet if you don’t have one. Just turn up with trainers and some comfortable sports kit, ready to have a go.

Club member Jo Wright was instrumental in getting things started with the full support of Chairman Simon Prior. “Jo’s enthusiasm is infectious” said Simon. “The whole idea is to give anyone the chance to try out tennis for a couple of hours each week, in a relaxed atmosphere, with no need to join the club or worry about thinking they ‘might not be good enough’.”

Rusty Racquets happens every Saturday from 2-5pm at Seaton Tennis Club, Court Lane, Seaton (behind the cricket ground).

The cost is £3 for non-members, including tea/coffee and biscuits, use of balls and a racquet if you need one.

It is open to all from 18 to 80. Just turn up or for more information call 07796 098108 or email seatontennis@gmail.com.
