BRIDPORT are looking forward to a more rejuvenated squad, after a huge number of absences last time out, when they host Westbury United in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division on Saturday (3pm).

The Bees missed the likes of Lee Sweet, James Regan, Matt Condliffe, Luke King, Leighton Thomas, Richard Hebditch and Louis Rutter, all unavailable, for their 5-1 Boxing Day loss at Willand Rovers.

However, the Bees aim to have King, Sweet, Regan and Condliffe back in the squad for Saturday.

Behan revealed that it will be a case of some in, some out with two further absences expected ahead of Westbury.

Behan said: “That should help us out a bit, but Leighton Thomas is out, Andy Martin is doubtful while Sam Clark is missing as well on Saturday.”

The Bees are currently 10th with 25 points from 17 games.

They face an intimidating opposition in the form Westbury, who are second with 45 points from 18 games so far this season.

They can move level on points with top of the table Willand Rovers, but lag behind on goal difference.

Westbury are enjoying a fine start to life in their new surroundings.

They were promoted last year from the Toolstation Western Division One, with 95 points but have clearly done well since stepping up.

They were joined in the new division by former title rivals Roman Glass St George, who have been struggling near the foot of the table since their promotion.
