WEYMOUTH have had their FA Trophy first round clash with Needham Market postponed due to a waterlogged Bob Lucas Stadium pitch.

According to the Terras' official Twitter account, the fixture will instead take place on Tuesday, December 18 (7.45pm), although Echosport understands Needham are not keen on a midweek trip and would prefer a Saturday match.

Meanwhile, Portland United have seen their match at Alresford Town in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division postponed, after the pitch failed an inspection earlier this morning.

The Blues were set to make the travel to Hampshire but the game will now be rearranged.

Portland have been in superb form so far this year, and currently sit second with 38 points from their first 16 games.

Portland United Reserves have also seen their match at home against Swanage Town & Herston postponed, while Bridport Reserves' clash at home to Wareham Rangers has also fallen foul of the weather.
