ANDREW McDermott sits at the top of the ADC Weymouth League table after he went another night undefeated.

With a tricky set of fixtures in front of him, McDermott managed to come out of it with all victories to his name.

Opening the evening with a scrappy 4-1 win over Mark Samways he then went on to defeat Andy and Stewart Masters 4-1 4-2 respectively.

Drew Tweedy had a great third week as he defeated the at the time undefeated Mel Burton, trailing 2-0 but Tweedy then reeled off four great legs and the win 4-2.

Tweedy followed this great performance up with a very impressive 4-1 win over Paul Dormer and then a 4-0 victory against Shaun Lampard.

Two other players who took maximum points were Trevor Honnor and Simon Churchill, as both players picked up a 4-1 and 4-2 successes over Billy Short.

Young Adam McKay has found a new lease of life at the beginning of this season as he started off the night winning comfortably in the end 4-2 against Danny Aplin. He raced into a 3-0 lead before Aplin had a shot at a double.

It took a fantastic 138 out-shot from Samways to deny Mckay a second victory and claim a

3-3 draw.

Not deterred by this, McKay rounded off a good night winning 4-2 against Terry Tucker. After an opening match defeat and then the draw with McKay, Samways managed a 4-0 victory over Chris Stones in his final match.

Nigel Davies picked up two wins out of three matches as he produced some great darts in his 4-2 victory over Paul Paice and then a 4-1 win over Long, Davies did suffer defeat to the returning Billy Short 4-2, with Short hitting a 180 in the second leg after years away from the game.

Mel Burton managed another 100-plus checkout as he hit a 146 in his 4-1 win over Arnie Quinn.

Burton then faced his brother Chris in a repeat of last season’s cup final with Mel coming out on top 4-2 in this contest despite a 100 out-shot from Chris.

Chris Burton started the evening and his first match of the season picking up a great point against none other than Nathan Smith.

Burton trailed 3-0 Burton came storming back and claimed an unlikely draw. Smith did pick up a 4-1 victory in his match with Scott Gannon but, once again, finished drawing 3-3 with Long,

Gannon’s great start to the season sees him sat comfortably in mid-table as he produced some great scoring and finishing in his other two matches of the night.

Despite defeat to McKay in his opening match, Aplin came back with an impressive 4-1 win over Matthew Betts. The highlight for Aplin came in the last match as he hit a 104 and 164 checkout and finished the match with a double tops 80 out-shot.

Dave Butler had an in different night as he suffered a 4-2 defeat to Lampard and then Quinn before a fantastic 4-1 win over Wayne Jordan in their final contest.

A tough night on Jordan as this was his only winning leg of the evening as defeat to Churchill was followed up with a 4-0 loss to Andy Masters.

Simon Sharpe came back superbly from 2-0 down to Dormer before going 3-2 up but ending with a draw, but this was before a disappointing 4-1 loss to Betts and then Gannon.

Gaining a point in his first match and then a loss in his second, Dormer did well to end the night with a comfortable 4-1 win over Stewart Masters.

Terry Tucker picked up another two points as he won his match 4-1 against Chris Burton, however, this was after a crushing 4-0 defeat to Betts.
