PARRETT and Axe came out on top as the Sir John Colfox Academy hosted their annual Quicksticks tournament for those in year five and six and it was a wonderful event played out in glorious autumn sunshine.
The event attracted seven teams, each eager to put into practise the skills they had been taught at a recent event delivered by sports leaders at the academy.
Parrett and Axe CofE VA School, Mosterton were the eventual winners having progressed through the tournament unbeaten.
The team exhibited a really strong defence and some really good teamwork led to a number of goals.
The team was led by captain Joey Dunlop who demonstrated brilliant leadership skills throughout the tournament.
