WEYMOUTH autograss racer Adam Saunders has for the second year running finished top of the Southern League and is also club champion in his class.
Driving his Nissan Micra in the junior under-16 class up to 1000cc, Saunders, 14, also won the Western England Junior Open, was overall winner of the Southern League Grand Prix and came ninth at the national finals competing against 58 other drivers.
Travelling all over England and Wales he managed to win a total of 13 finals.
Next year, Saunders is expected to change to a 1000cc Mini and hopes for even better results.
Saunders has set up a fundraising page after his grandad died six weeks ago from cancer. Titled ‘For Grandad’ the page is linked to cancer research. Saunders would like to thank the 168 people that have made donations so far.
The teen is also grateful to sponsors Dewalt, Elite Spars, Texas Rock, Goodwins, Complete Spars, Napier Motorsport, Linconshire Pool and Spars and Ecoleisure.
