WEST Bay Sea Angling Club has just held its annual Species and specimens competition.
An amazing 32 species of fish were caught by the winner, Craig Horton.
In the competition he was paired with Frances Kitchin who, among her catch was a shad and scorpion fish that Horton did not have, bringing their combined catch to 34 species.
Second most species were caught by Ollie Mears, and third by Charlotte Johnson.
Best Specimen: 1 Ian Draper, Thick Lipped Mullet; 2 Steve Fowles, Dogfish; 3 Frances Kitchin, Ballan Wrasse.
The Golden Fish, the best pout, was caught by Horton.
The Junior Prize was won by Eden Lynham.
In this competition, all fish caught are measured and immediately returned to the sea.
