TO CELEBRATE 50 years of Rugby at Bridport RFC the club laid on a feast of fun for the youngsters and members of the public, as players young and old enjoyed a free burger or sausage roll and demonstrated their skills on all the games.

There were commando nets to crawl under, water slides to navigate, bales to climb, chasms to cross, games, prizes, and all in the name of fun.

Successful completion of the obstacle course merited a prize, and there was a suspicion that certain individuals appeared for the umpteenth time.

Judging by the soaked clothes and smiles on their faces, some never left the Water Slide.

The rounders champions were the Valkyries, who beat the Wildcats in the final.

Lloyd Vercoe, organiser, was delighted by the turnout and watching the number of youngsters skilfully potting the rugby ball, the game of rugby is securely set for another 50 years at Bridport RFC.
