FINAL JOY: The winner and runner-up with the trophy
CHRISTINE Simmons edged Sarah Kilcoyne 4-2 in the final of Bridport Tennis Club’s annual Ladies Singles Tournament, organized by Diana Dudgeon.
The match took place on their Plottingham Playing Field courts and the players enjoyed a fun competitive game of singles on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
The format was a round robin stage, followed by a final set.
The two highest scorers, Christine Simmons and Sarah Kilcoyne played the closely fought final, with Simmons edging ahead to win 4-2.
