BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker has said he’s hoping to start a positive run ahead of tomorrow’s match at home to Street in the Toolstation Western Premier Division (1pm).

Friday’s match starts a run of four-straight home fixtures for the Bees, and Fricker says his side are ready after having a weekend off.

He said: “It felt nice in that we had a couple of midweek games leading up to the weekend so we were able to rest up, but after two decent results it would have been quite nice to keep the momentum going.

“But the lads will be rested and everyone should be fresh for the game.”

The Bees’ opposition currently sit second in the league, but Fricker is confident his side can cause them some problems.

He said: “They’re going to be well up for it because they’re pushing for promotion.

“When we played them on Boxing Day we matched them and were unfortunate not to get anything out of the game.

“They’re an excellent team and one of the best in the league, but we got three goals against them last time out so feel we can get at them defensively.

“If we can be strong and solid and try to expose them I see no reason why we can’t build on our recent good form.

“We’re not setting any points targets for the last few games but we’d like to finish strongly and pick up another couple of wins before the end of the season.”

Bridport boss Fricker confirmed he is without Louis Rutter (suspended) for Friday’s match, while Ryan Hayter is a doubt.
