BRIDPORT boss Trevor Senior insists his troops will go into their home clash with high-flying Odd Down (Bath) on Saturday (3pm) with nothing to fear.
The Bees, who saw their midweek clash at Brislington postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, are still looking to bounce back after falling to a lacklustre defeat to Cribbs last weekend.
Visitors Odd Down will be a tough test as they sit at the summit of the Toolstation Western league Premier Division at present, but they did slip up by losing 4-0 at Melksham last weekend.
Reflecting on when the sides last did battle in a 2-0 defeat for the Bees in January, Senior said: “We bossed the first half but it was obviously a bad night for us in the end because it was Max Buckler’s last game and Sam Buckler obviously broke his leg there.”
He added: “They are a strong side and we know we can match them but if we play like we did on Saturday we won’t match anybody.
“The lads will want to put that straight, I’m not too bothered in the long term because it was just a blip.
“We have got to try and get the fans back down there to watch us but, obviously we have got to give them something to watch.
“We are not frightened of them (Odd Down). We definitely respect them – with the league this season everybody is capable of beating everybody.”
Chris Senior and Matt Condliffe should be available for selection, Senior is also hoping that Tom Blair will have recovered from a groin injury in time for the contest.
