Three people have been arrested after a police investigation into concerns over care at a residential home.
Muirhead Care Home in Aberdeenshire has been the subject of an inquiry after concerns were raised about the welfare of residents prior to its closure earlier this year.
Police Scotland said a 79-year-old man and two women aged 78 and 56 have been arrested.
Inquiries are continuing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Davie Howieson said: “I would like to thank all those who have provided information and assisted with what has been a lengthy enquiry, supported throughout by our partners including Aberdeenshire Council and the Care Inspectorate.”
Muirhead Care Home near Alford closed at the end of August following a court application from the Care Inspectorate.
A 16-year-old woman was previously charged over the alleged assault of a female resident in June.
